Busselton Visit

We have just concluded our visit in Busselton and tomorrow is officially the start of our journey home.

(1) We have spent four days camping in a very nice holiday park and have enjoyed spending time with my Aunty May who is the Boys Nanna May.
May was my Foster Mother many years ago and remains an important part of our family.
Backtracking to our Perth visit we also caught up with Michele who was also my Foster Mother and is also important to us.
It was delightful to meet her children and their families. Bree and Ash were Effectively my Brother and Sister back then and were a delight to meet again .

(2) Whilst in Busselton we visited the Famous Busselton Jetty which is the 2 Nd longest Jetty in the World and the longest in the Southern Hemisphere at 1.8 kms long. The purpose of this Jetty was to facilitate the towns needs after Settlement as the Bay is only 8 metres deep for a significant distance. At the end of the jetty is an underwater observatory that allows you to go down to the seabed and see amazing sealife.

(3) We also travelled to Augusta which is the most Southwest point of Australia and climbed the largest lighthouse in Mainland Australia. From here we were able to view the meeting of the Southern and Indian Oceans. Another interesting point was a rock formation just to sea which if you drilled directly though the Earth would come out at the Whitehouse in USA.

(4) We have had a restful time in Busselton and will go to Mays church tomorrow and then commence the journey home with 1st stop Pemberton which is about 1.5 hrs drive.
