Nullabor Crossing Part Two

Our 2nd day of Nullabor Crossing was planned from Madura (WA) to Fowlers Bay (SA) Approx 600 kms

We were again truly blessed with cool weather as we journeyed the remainder of the Nullabor Crossing. In fact what I didn't expect was to need my wipers as we had light rain. This was better than the expected 47 degrees.

The trip was long however we saw a burnt out semi- trailer and a few dumped cars.
Today we finally crossed over the border out of Wa after 5 Days and were on track for Fowlers Bay.

Kate was not well today and rested in the
back while Cameron travelled in the front.
At Lunch time we passed the town of Nullabor and the we visited the the Great Australian Bight which was sensational.
We also detoured to visit an old Telegraph communication station which is partially buried by sand dunes. This was a great experience of walking in the desert.

We then made the turn off to Fowlers Bay and travelled on 17 kms of Gravel to Fowlers Bay. We arrived to find it was not very appealing. The sand was like concrete and there were no shops or sights to see on our 2 day visit. As Kate was still sick we abandoned the site and headed back to the main road and travelled to a small town called Penong with about 1 hotel and 27 Windmills. We found a cabin and had dinner at the Pub
And went to Bed.
The Next Morning we travelled an hour to Caduna found s cabin and had s day off from travelling.
In the evening we went crabbing. Cameron caught five crabs and Jordy caught one .
